Research Moving Recovery in New Directions

Since our formation, the APT Foundation has been the site for multiple clinical research studies, collaborating with Yale University School of Medicine, Columbia University Teachers College, and the University of Connecticut. APT conducts clinical research into the causes, effects and treatment of substance use and mental health disorders. Psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy studies have been conducted as well as adjunctive treatments (such as acupuncture) treatments for special populations (HIV/AIDS, HCV, PTSD) and research areas of concern to our clients (pain management, parenting).
